Tragedy at Deliklitaş Pond in Karesi
Two teenagers, Efe Ahmet Özey (15) and his friend Poyraz Çapan (13), went missing after diving into the pond in the rural Deliklitaş neighborhood of Karesi to cool off.
Following the notification of the locals, 2 divers and 4 personnel from AFAD, 4 divers and 1 personnel from the fire department, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
As a result of the efforts of the teams, the bodies of Özey and Çapan were found.
The bodies of the children were sent to the morgue of Balıkesir Atatürk City Hospital.
